S.O.S (Save Our Seas)

S.O.S (Save Our Seas) is a series of drawings made with fibres, synthetic threads and microplastics sewn onto paper.
The pieces are constructed as asemic writings that evoke a discourse around a still unresolved issue: microplastic contamination in bodies of water.
At the centre of each composition, a single legible sign appears —S.O.S. in Morse code— a distress signal that condenses the urgency of the context in which the work is inscribed.
