Ceramic Taxidermies is a series of installations composed of found ceramic animal figures, broken and subsequently recomposed through processes of sewing and textile covering.

The use of textiles—animal-print fabrics that do not correspond to the animals' physiognomy—emphasises the distortion inherent in every representation of nature and the impossibility of fully appropriating its image. Presented in compositions that evoke natural science museum display cases, the works question the ways in which nature is classified, reproduced and exhibited.

The gesture of recomposing these bodies introduces an ambiguity between repair and alteration. The pieces propose a reflection on the fragility of living beings and question the ways in which animal bodies are transformed into objects of representation.
